27-Dec-2023 (In Documentation Law)
Does the original missing / misplaced Deed (of certain property) become “Invalid” – once Certified Copy is made (through proper legal way).
if you have misplaced the original file a general diary over speed post and seek for General diary number from the police station they are bound to reply you back, upon such receipt copy apply for a certified copy and the certified copy will again act as an original copy by itself.
Sir/Ma'am,
Certified copy is secondary to the original. So whenever a copy is made it does not invalidate the original, whether it is certified copy or not. Hence, answer to your question is simple, Certified copy is as good as the original but it is no match for the original. Now you may have two copies of the same deed, one is original and the other is certified copy.

Certified is the secondary copy of the original So, it cannot make the primary invalid.
If the original was misplaced and afterward found. Both the copy will have their respective values.
