Whether divorce taken on mutual consent valid in India?

As non immigrants(work visa h1b) in usa, Me and my spouce are planning to apply for a mutual consent divorce under no fault/irretrievably broken . Will this be valid in india? Or do we need to apply in india

yes it will be valid you can apply in India even if parties are not present in India you can go a head with filing of divorce petion by mutual consent. if you contact me I will let you know the procedure to proceed for your divorce

hi yes mutual consent divorce obtained in US courts on grounds of irretrievable breakdown of marriage is valid in india provided both parties attend the courts in person and sign compromise petition as well before the judge.

a decree of a divorce by mutual consent obtained anywhere in the world is same valid and a foreign judgement is also enforcible in India if it is granted by a court of law subject to satisfaction of territorial jurisdiction point.
