When will Court Cases Start Again

I have applied for contested divorce in March 2020. No progress has happened since then because of lockdown. I have no source of income and no support from husband for me and daughter. When will courts open and how should we survive till then?

The court will open by this june first. Request your advocate to proceed with the maintence application. If there is aurgency the court will hear your application. But before that notice will be served on other side. Since it is lockdown it is difficult to inform you that notice is served or not.
If the notice is not served seek permission to serve the notice by electronic media. Withour serving notice court will not proceed. Please speed up the notice procedure and once the court confirms notice will served it will hear your case and application.

Usually the courts take 2-3 months for issuing Summons to the Respondent so check when the next date is. If it's coming up then your lawyer can send an email to the family court and request for an appointment stating the urgency. If summons has not been issued, ask for summons to be delivered on email due to urgency.
