28-Jun-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hi I am ramya.i have filed divorce case on 2017 july under the ground of separation. We dont have kids and separated for 4 years. Till now my partner did not respond for my petition. They filed for counter part and dragging the case without any reply. My partner also present for every hearing. What i have to do next .. they are not coming for mutual. I am not ready for reunion too . How long they can drag the case and how long will it take for me to get divorce. Please help me
Your Husband has already filed his counter and is attending every hearing, then what is the problem? Why there is a delay? What does your husband want? Why is he delaying? What is the advice/suggestion of your Advocate? You can try to put the case for Mediation. In Mediation the Mediator will try to convince your husband to close the case early. He will try to make your husband understand the reality and come to some conclusion. If you need any clarification/assistance kindly contact me.

What is his averments in counter? Is he seeking to dismiss your petition? Have you filed maintenance case? When both are not interested in reunion, why to drag the matter, instead both should have opted for mutual consent when the matter was referred to mediation.
Hello Madam,
Your remedy lies with persuading your Advocate to plead with the Judge to take up the matter expediently. Further you've not mentioned whether counselling session is finished or not, if not Plead with Judge to put for counselling.
