What is the time duration for a contested divorce

28-May-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hello, I am writing this to enquire about some confidential matters related to my divorce. I am a Christian by religion, married for the past 10 years and have got 2 daughters. Presently I am heading for divorce due to the issue of incompatibility between me and my wife. There is no emotional or physical intimacy between us from the past 5 years. There is no understanding and love between us. For almost past 1 year, we are living separately. So I filed a petition for mutual divorce from my partner two months back. Initially she agreed for mutual divorce. Later she changed her mind and conveyed that she is not ready for divorce. 1. With all the above conditions, is there a chance for me to get divorce without the consent from my wife ? If so, what is the legal procedure I should do next ? 2. I came to know the divorce is granted under certain grounds. Is my argument sufficient to get me divorce from the court ? 3. How long will it take to get consented divorce ?

Hai
I look this forum neat n clean. Ur query itself shlws that u have a lawyer n why dont u ask him straight. This profession is worst in taking a second opinion.
Since u asked. If she is nt ready for mutual consent and yet to file a final affidavit u wont get divorce. It would be beter to conduct contesting case. Grounds for marriage usually comes difficult for men. Time ? It depends on many aspects. Had concluded cases in a month to 4 years span. It depends on multiple things including nature f courts.
Hope am upto ur query

In a contested divorce, the petitioner need to prove marital cruelty on the part of the respondent wife. The facts posted suggests no actionable issue. Incompatibility denotes too general an issue.
