What is the procedure for divorce and will i get alimony after divorce

I just want to file divorce against my husband. He used to beat me hard .I really dont know what he actually want from me.some time he says me to file mutual divorce so that he will not be forced to give alimony and other things what my parents have gave me on marriage .He was also having a no. Of affairs and wanted me to leave him as he is central government employee and he ha yet not given my name in his service book ( we have completed 1.5 years of marriage) I just want to know if i file divorce against him do i get alimony and what my parents had given me?
Yes ...you can file divorce on grounds of cruelty and adultery and can still claim alimony and you also have right to claim the streedhan whatever articles or jewellery you got along with yourself at the time of marriage.

Yes you can file divorce on basis of cruelty u/s 13(1)(ia) of Hindu marriage act and as far as your things/article presented by your father as well as gifts given to you by otherside /relative ,you can claim for it as stridhan and paramanent alimony u/s25 of Hindu marriage act.
