What doesn't comes under Dowry in India? My Wife (Once My GF) paid back the money to me, which I have paid for her Credit Card Bills, before Marriage . So, factfully she paid back, Pre Marriage Debt . Will this be termed as Dowry? I am a Hindu .
hello sir , the things and money that was been gifted to the bride in pre marriage cermonies and post marriage would be included in as dowry. it also includes jewellery, cash or any other items in the form of gifts as well. if you have proof of this with you then you can exclude it from the list of dowry. but yes dowry would only included given to the wife post marriage and during the pre wedding cermonies only.

No not at all this will come under Dowry. however you please have to satisfy that the amount which you paid for her credit card bills is exactly the same one and she paid it back to you. I believe this proving will not be tough for you as all payments tp credit card dues are through account to account in most of the cases.
