yes after staying separate for 1 year you can apply for divorce, you can seek for mutual divorce upon discussion with your husband then the legal battle will not take place and it will happen smoothly.

Yes it is difficult to live with a person who does not love you. You can still live with a person who does not love but can never ever think of living with a girl who loves some one else. However, you cannot wait until a damage happens to you to take a corrective action. If you are sure that she is not in a position to accept you, it is better that you convey this aspect to either your parents or the parents of the girl. You have to rake up this issues to safe guard yourself. After the marriage your rights are curtailed and these things cannot be established so easily. Prevention is better than cure.

Only engagement has taken place and not marriage in between you have found girl is not have feeling towards you then what is the meaning in getting married. The divorce question will arise only if you married whereas you are just engaged why you want to spoil you and that girl's life. Cancel the engagement and search for some one who really loves you. To give legal opinion about divorce you are not married and let's not go on presumption be practical and don't spoil your life on the ground of imagination.
