We are hindu. My husband had a multiple past relationship. And recently he contacted one of his girlfriend. But they didn't had any physical this time. Can I file divorce and ask for alimony mentioning extra marital affair?

As per section 13 (1)(i) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, if a spouse “has, after the solemnization of the marriage, had voluntary sexual intercourse with any person other than his or her spouse” it can be a ground for divorce.

you can file the case against him for divorce and maintenance if any child also you can claim maintenance and as wel as school fee and other expenses and you should prove that your husband had illegally relationship with others

I understand your questions so your husband have exstra marital affairs so now your questions is you hve to filee a Divorce and alimony also right yes it is possible to file the case but you have a proof if your husband earnings documentary evdance and girl friend chating evedance so do you need any further legal help contact me thank you

Madam, Indian law with regard to Extra marital affair is sort of copy from the laws and judgements of courts of Western countries. Indian law cites adultery but not one or two instances of extra marital affair as a ground for seeking divorce by a spouse. but the repeated extra marital affair of a husband can be termed as cruelty.
