Upsc police verification and divorce case

My brother has cleared upsc civil services , he is also going through a divorce and wife will put DOWRY , 406, and DV cases soon.
This will reflect in his verification. Verification fails in case there is ongoing FIR or CASE or in case of a conviction by court.
Has the divorce been filed yet? When is the verification due? Are they disputes irreconcilable? How long have they been married? Are they living together? Further and better particulars are needed for an effective opinion.
