11-Feb-2025 (In Divorce Law)
My traditional marriage done in Feb 2022 but still not registered n I we lived 6 month together n then separated duevto disputes but still no any case or application In court till now so in future can I show it was live in relationship or marriage was done by me due to pressure by relatives as it's registered but may be valid so how many chances to get it null n void or anything else u want to advice??
Your situation involves a traditional marriage that was not registered, followed by six months of cohabitation and later separation. The validity of your marriage depends on the laws governing traditional marriages in your jurisdiction. If your marriage follows the essential customs and rituals required under personal or customary law, it may still be legally valid even without registration.
To argue that it was a live-in relationship rather than a marriage, you would need to provide evidence showing the absence of formal marriage rituals or intent. However, if it is registered or recognized under customary law, nullifying it may require proving coercion, lack of consent, or invalidity under the law (e.g., non-fulfillment of required customs).
If you seek annulment or declaration of the marriage as void, legal grounds like forced consent or improper ceremonies may be required.
