I need divorce from my husband... he is an indian n I'm tibetan.... I need to knw about the procedure for divorce n my husband is not ready to hive me divorce .... i cant tolerate his torture.... plz help me with this

You may get divorce if you have married under Special Marriage Act. But you can file divorce on the ground of cruelty. It takes minimum 3 years. You are advised to go for mutual divorce. You will get divorce with huge alimony.

u need to file a petition for divorce before the family court, if the marriage is under special marriage act u need to file petition under that provision, there are certain instances and circumstances in which divorce can be obtained like cruelty, harassment, dowry demand, impotency etc if u can prove one of them, the court will grant u divorce
