To know the procedure and rule of hearing start in a divorce case

My divorce case started last year in the month of january. Since then no hearing has taken place. Dates do come but my lawyer tell me it's an issue date. Reconciliation took place two dates back. One more thing, if i miss a date is it going to affect anyhow? My lawyer doesn't communicate anything properly. If i wish to change my lawyer, what is the process? Please suggest
it is not clear to me whether it is a mutual divorce or a contested divorce so the process here therefore varies in both the cases.The process to change a lawyer is to take no objection certificate from him.

you must immediately change your lawyer, go and tell your lawyer to provide no objection vakalatnama, there after provide case number to other lawyer, he will tell you what steps have been taken and also will help you
