She took all the jewelry but claiming that it is with me IPC Sec 406

08-Jul-2024 (In Divorce Law)
I am divorced from my wife since 2015. She later filed a case in 2015 against me and my parents under section 406. We learnt about it in 2024. There was no notice issued to us so that judge granted bail. Main issue is that She took all the jewelry and furniture given to her by her parents, by me and my parents and also given to me by her parents with her and now claiming that it is all with me. What to do?

if you and your parents have given all the jewellery to her then you must have received that at the time of filling divorce. then only on this basis court may quash the proceeding initiated against you.

when you gave her the jewelry and furniture you should have taken the undertaking from her and her parents. now you have to present witness in the court who can say that you have given her jewelry and furniture.

You can file an FIR against her for cheating and theft. moreover you can also file a complaint case in court with all relevant documents to support and strengthen your case. further you can contact us for complete details. Thanks.
