Seeking for divorce and need child custody

Hi...my husband is alcohol addict and he will never leave this habit. Our marriage will complete 7yrs in feb. We both are strugglling in this marriage as he drinks alcohol on daily basis and abuse me verballyon daily basis. We fight a lot. Now we have kids who is just 9 months. He drinks in front of him as well. Our thought process does not match and hence we fight on everything. I dont want to give such environment to my baby to get raised. Hence want to divorce my husband. Pls suggest what can be done on child custody as he is influential he cab fight for child custody and if won he will place my child to his home town with his parents. I need to raise my child. And also what about the maintenance as i m not working currently i have exp of 6 yrs HR jobs nd can get job easily.
sorry bro know about your situation. if you are seeking divorce then you may file it on the ground of cruelty. As you are educated and you have worked earlier it is difficult for you to claim maintenance.

in this case he will not get child custody as the child is only nine months old. till five years custody of child remains with mother mandatorily.
further if he claims custody then it depends on child's willingness to live with him or not.
you can file petition for contesting divorce before family court in the ground of mental cruelty caused to you by your husband
