Scam marriage plus harassment. Need help on divorce proceedings for NR

I am a single mother. We were approached by a guy working in North India after my profile was posted online. After a few months of interaction, we went to my hometown to get married. After that he and his family started demanding money. He wanted to stay illegally with me in Malaysia. We got separated due to covid lockdown. He had already quit his job with imaginary hopes that I will take care of him. We have broken up in 2020 when he demanded payment for divorce but he keeps harassing me, my family, friends and colleagues using phone and online apps. He stole jewellery and money. My parents are not sure about filing case or dealing with court. I don't know how to proceed further either. He went to mosque in my hometown once and created issue that we are harassing a jobless person. But they asked him to return my things and he left. How to get divorce when am an NRI, how to make this harassment stop? Please advise.

Dear Client don't panic According to your issue you may lodge police complaint throw an advocate to take necessary legal action can put FIR against your husband and their family. and you may file a complaint in district social welfare officer of your native district to seek remedy and legal action against them I am here to help you please contact me through Lawrato. thanks regards

First you can file a police complaint against dowry harassment and domestic violence. Simultaneously you can also file for divorce at the place where marriage happened or at the place where you are staying and working. Or if you are in Malaysia then you can apply for divorce there, get the order and get it confirmed by the Indian court.

you can file at a place where the marriage to play second where are you residing at the place you can file and also you can file a claim that lastly resided together so you India A place of marriage or you are residing currently at India for the last visited place for the place where now your husband resides all this are accounted to the jurisdiction to file the divorce case you go better for a divorce under you are delaying time will take delay in divorce process
