reagrding settelment amount in divorce

actually i got divorce by mutual consent before two years . i gave my wife settelement amount at that time (10 lack ) it was decided to have custody of three children to me but due to the sense of motherhood my wife has return back to my home and we again has got married without her parents permissson .ow we are demanding our setellment amout back to us but her parents denying due to their bad nature what should i do

in Ur married life when you both have remarried again against the will.of Ur in-laws and without permission of Ur in-laws and now when u both decided to ask your own money which you have paid as maintenance allimany to you wife at the time of. mutual divorce.then your In laws are not at all supporting you and not giving you money back in this matter you need to take legal action against your in-laws along with your wife.then you can recover the amount.thanks.

I suppose as per the settlement, you must have paid the said amount to your wife. Now, as per the said settlement deed, your wife is entitled to get the money.
Hence, the act of your father in law of keeping all the settlement amount is unlawful.
Send him a legal notice and suit for recovery proceedings.
