Query for first time hiring lawyer

Hello, I recently filed for a divorce from my wife on the basis of cruelty. I belong to a Hindu family. When my wife got the notice she filed a couple of complaints and DV case against me and my family members.The query I've is actually of my lawyer. This is the first time I've hired a lawyer and neither does my family or I know of any lawyer. So I'm not sure about the practice. nMy lawyer said that for every case he will charge a said case taking fees. Example: he has charged me a case taking fees for filing my divorce petition, now when my wife filed for DV, he is saying that he'll charge me a case taking fees for this case and any other case she will file after that. For every court date he charges a said amount.Is it industry practice to charge a fees for every case he takes? Should I also pay court date fees when the Judge is absent? Since soon FIRs will be filed, will he charge me for them differently? will they will be treated as separate cases?
Actually frankly speaking I can’t comment upon the fees structure of an advocate. It varies from advocate to advocate. Some advocate charges on per date appearance basis while another would like to have all the fees on one go. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Fee of a lawyer varies from lawyer's to lawyers and actually each and every case maximum lawyers takes different fee cause relief is different . Fee of date of hearing is also different but if multiple cases are handed by same lawyer some relaxation of fee is ofcourse given .But try to see the quality of work of a lawyer .

See fee varies from lawyer to lawyer. You need to find a good lawyer after seeking a detailed consultation and briefing him about your pending and ongoing litigations. Lawyers charge for every matter separately. Some lawyers give you a lumpsum for all the connected matters also.

see every advocate fee is different... and during husband and wife dispute three and four cases is common... we charges total 1.5 lakh for all cases between husband and wife. 20% fee at the time of case starting and rest of money during case hearing, contact us for best result.

all cases can be charged separately or a lump sum fixed amount of all the cases can be fixed between you and your laywer... it's a mutual understanding understanding as to how u both fix feees .. if his pattern is not suitable to you.. u can change lawyer
