Physically abusive husband disowned us before we c file for a divorce

Hello I have been in a domestic abusive marriage for 22 years and have two children. He used to drink everyday and come beat me. Last month we called police to save ourselves and filed an FIR. He was kept there in police station for one night. And then he never came back home or called us. After a month today we got sent photos of newspapers where he put that he is disowning us. Also my aunt got a call from my sister in law that they will send us notice to evict this house. Now we have no money, and maybe even no place to live soon. What can I do? I want to file a divorce but also need a place to stay
you file a divorce and you can claim maintenance from your husband on monthly basis and also you can clalim rights to stay in the said property without evacuating you and also you can be safe to stay at home and proceed with the matter

Hello Madam,
You are legally entitled to shelter and maintenance from your husband, therefore even if he sends you notice of eviction you need not vacate the house. You can file divorce and along with it you can claim maintenance amount from your husband. You need not worry about your shelter. your husband will have to take care of it under the law even if you file divorce petition against him.
