Order of maintenance is pending

27-Apr-2025 (In Divorce Law)

My Dv & Maintenance case is filed in the year Jan 2024 , but till date there is no such action found either from court or lawyer end towards any order is am having a 2yrs child for which I have claimed maintenance only..unable to understand through what process court works or is there any requirement to change the lawyer

If you want to change your lawyer, you can change, but in court proceedings, somany times, what happens is court give dates. But if we show to the court that my situation is very sensitive, then the court can take in his mind and pressure to the opposite party to give explanation on it, why they didn't pay any maintenance till today.

First hearing shouldn't have such delay. Check case status @ecourtservice. This again may not be updated. Address this issue immediately to the lawyer. He has all the details on hearing. If he doesn't cooperate, take a second opinion.
