if earning of your wife is more than that of you. then Court will not order payment of maintenance from you to her unless she needs maintenance to continue leaving in the same standard of living as you, but the casualty different if there is a child.

Dear Sir, Since your wife is earning sufficiently as such you need not pay any maintenance to her. However, you have to pay some alimony if you are in urgency to get divorce otherwise just prolong the matter and ultimately she will be frustrated and you will get result in your favour. See that application under Section 9 be contested otherwise if allowed you are finalised to pay monthly fine to her if you do not join her company.

1. the court will order for the maintenance based on the income, assets and liabilities of both the parties. 2. the court also considers the status of parties and Number of dependents before passing orders for maintenance.
