Maintenace case filed against me in Sec 125


23-May-2024 (In Divorce Law)
My wife has filed maintenance petion . She is working and earns 1.1 lakhs per month in private mnc . I have her offer letter which shows her income. Also i had filed Sec 9 case before them filing 498A, DV and 125 and got exparte order that she is not apperaing in court.My in hand salary is 1.8 lakhs. I wanted to know if i need to pay any maintenance in 125 case . Also there are no kids from marriage

dear client as per your query I can only suggest that as a wife she can claim maintenance but as there is no child and you have evidence of that she is working there are chances but some more factors also count as liabilities on both as per your query what is the status of your dv case that also count so for future paid consultation please contact us with your relevant documents.

in which court you matter is pending. maintenance mainly depend on courts view. mostly court allow one third of gross income. but if she also working and you can proove that. then may be court not allow the maintenance to wife. for more information you can contact me.
