If there's no scope of living together then rather stretching the relationship you should file for contested divorce under the ground of cruelty. I would suggest you to go with mutual divorce because it's cost effective and ends up in a maximum of six months. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

You need to engage lawyer and file a petition for divorce. In case both parties are willing than you guys can go for a mutual consent divorce. It entails less cost plus less time. 6 months maximum for a divorce decree.

Hello Mam, firstly u have to be married for at least 12month before u commence divorce proceedings. U can get a divorce for two ways (a) if u applied jointly and other one (b) if u applied as a solo . *If you applied jointly with your husband or wife*- Your application will be checked. If it’s correct, you’ll both be sent: a notice that your application has been issued (sent out) a copy of your application stamped by Courts and Tribunals Service an ‘acknowledge receipt’ a case number You need to wait *20 weeks after your divorce application has been issued by the court*. After this time you and your husband or wife can continue with the divorce by applying for a conditional order. *If you applied as a sole applicant* -- Your application will be checked. If it’s correct, you’ll be sent: a notice that your application has been issued a copy of your application stamped by HMCTS a case number The court will send your husband or wife the divorce application and an ‘acknowledgement of service’ notification. Your husband or wife must respond to the acknowledgement of service notification within 14 days saying whether they: agree with the divorce intend to dispute the divorce If your husband or wife does not respond the court will tell you what you need to do. You will not need to go to court. I m an advocate I would to suggest u take a consultation with an expert advocate.
