Legal agreement of settlement after husband's extramarital affair

I am married and working woman since 20 years, having two sons. My husband is self employed. few days back, a woman claimed that she is in relationship with my husband since last 4 years and on asking my husband has confessed. But he claims to continue with me leaving that other woman. She is also giving suicidal threats to my husband and has a family of her own. I am confused and feel lack of trust in my relation with my husband. Can I get a notarised agreement signed by my husband?
What kind of settlement agreement you are expecting to get notarized? What if he continues his relationship after signing the agreement too? Signing an agreement and notarizing it is ok but It is always better that any settlement be done through court so that it will have a binding effect.
