Legal action against cheating in marriage

Sir my brother marriage got married 8mon ago and her wife is torturing her every day for money. When the marriage was getting fixed my brothers father in law n my decided to divide the marriage expense equally but after the marriage my brothers father in law didn't contributed 50%. Now I need to know wat legal action we can take...? Also if we go for Divorce does my brothers wife can claim matainence since her father has cheated us.... Please enlighten us wat to do.
With reference to the above statement, if you both parties have decided to contribute the equal amount, then other party has to contribute, in case of divorce you have to explain the complete details of the matter.

You cannot file for divorce unless you complete one year of marriage. You should file a police complaint stating your allegations. They need to be put on record so that after you complete one year of marriage, it will be easier to get divorce

Try to settle the matter by taking divorce through mutual consent. Future of brother is important than anything else. If you go by contested divorce on grounds of cruelty there are chances that they can trouble and again maintenance which will be heavy.
