Is the marriage certificate valid if the marriage has been registered
12-Apr-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hi
I would like to know whether a marriage certificate can be made nullified or void.
It was a remarriage and both has been divorced at time of marriage. But the marriage took place between them as the first marriage and the marriage certificate as also been registered as first marriage only. The marriage certificate has been issued based on the belief that it’s the first marriage. Does it mean the marriage or the marriage certificate is void? If not, how to nullify/remove this marriage certificate?
A marriage may be invalid if: Bigamy: One spouse is already married to someone else or where they are both wrong in believing that a previous marriage had ended due to divorce or death. Incest: A marriage may also be invalid where it was entered into by two people who are related to one another.
