Inter religion marriage and estranged since past 3 years

I got married to a muslim guy in 2012 and performed a nikah as asked for by conversion and was given a new name. Since i loved him, i accepted it for his family's happiness although i dint approve of it. And my husband promised me i won't have to follow a different faith unless i feel like it. But eventually i was forced to follow their religious ceremonies and participate in it. I wasn't allowed to work. And my mother in law started to torture me mentally for being a hindu and from a lower middle class family. i was dragged out of the house and sent to my parents when i was under depression. I decided to leave the house in 2016 and stayed with my friend in pune and from then i am working independently. There's not been much contact. Now i wish to file a divorce but my husband threatened that it had to be as per their religion or never. My marriage was only notarized and not registered too. What should i do?
