My inlaws told me that my wife is their original daugther of them but after marriage I come to know that she is adopted one (I came to know with her habbits and face is matching to different person in the same family and many other symptoms), but even after asking multiple times she and her family is denying to accept this, now as I am feeling cheated and mentally harashed because of this I want to give her the divorse, how do i deal with this situation when they are clearly hiding the truth as i am feeling they are creating some conspiracy against me and I afraid if we got any child than they can blackmail me in any form. Please suggest.
Concealment of fact in this case would fall under the category of fraud and it would lead to annulment of marriage under section 12 of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. However there are certain conditions which are to be complied with before filing petition under this section, like petition is to be presented within one year from discovery of fraud and the petitioner has ceased to live together as husband and wife after discovery of this fact.
The result of a marriage annulment is a decree that the marriage never existed. It nullifies the marriage, returning the parties to their prior single status.

Sir , you have option to file a divorce case against your wife regarding this fraud and plead that it this is mental cruelty against me because fraud against husband or concealment of material facts by wife is it self ground for divorce which make cruelty against husband and if u have feeling for conspiracy u should file a legal notice or police complaint against your wife.

Hi ,it is advisable to file a contested divorce petition on the grounds of cheating ..However ,merely this ground will not be sufficient for filing of divorce ..If there is any mental or physical cruelty you can also make them a ground in your divorce petition…

Hello you can send a legal notice to your wife and her parents for cheating and concealment of true facts before marriage in respect of the parentage and seek their reply/ clarification, if the matter is resolved amicably then it is fine else you can file mutual consent divorce or contested divorce in the Court.
