In current covid scenario how long does it take to file a case as my petition is ready n all documents with the lawyer since 4 months and he keeps stating that due to covid its taking time to.file. pls help

normally it takes 6 months for the order to be passed also there shall be no problem to file the matter as filing is goin on and also notice can be sent to the other side and the matter for maintenance has to be heard

I think you had got some wrong information from somewhere. In covid situation only hearings are stayed not new filing of cases. And as per new SOP of Bombay High Court, Courts are working from first week of August only.
