I want to file for divorce after 23 years of marriage. I don't want neither alimony and there is no issue of child custody as my daughter is 22years of age. My husband is telling he will contest. But can you tell me on what ground he will contest when I want nothing from him. I just want the divorce.

dear client divorce is the last option and as per your query i.e after 23 yrs if both the parties are agreed the you can opt for mutual divorce if not then you can file the divorce petition and after mediation it may end to divorce there are things with whom your daughter wants to stay ego does clashes in such matter but if there is some possibility it's better go for a good counseling or mediation if possible in high court for further query you can contact us

Dear Client, Dissolution of marriage or Divorce is filed before the concerned family court in two ways. First either by the mutual convent of both the parties or through filing the contested divorce. There are certain grounds which are essential to file divorce through the contested divorce petition. Regards
