I need to know what happens if I divorce my wife

I have two teenage children. My wife kicked me out of the house two years ago with no money and nothing. She has been cruel and we don’t get along. I’ve not seen her or the kids in two years. I’ve met a foreign woman and fallen in love. I am Hindu. I’ve not told her about our relationship. What do I need to know about adultery laws? Can she sue me for adultery? What happens to our property if I divorce? Can I file for legal separation? I don’t want to be with her, but she’s threatening to keep my kids from me. Is that even legal? She knows nothing about the other woman, but she suspects and is acting manipulative and evil. Please help.
