I have convicted for 7 years in 498a and DP act.

Hello Sir, Please advice as got convicted for 7 years in 498a and DP act but same time i got acquitted from 304 b charges. now i am on bail, taken from Bangalore high court and i have appealed already. Please advice if it possible for Quash, compromise as father in law is ready for compromised or what is best for me .

convicted under 498 a offence 7years you should go to apeal at trial court . and take aset aside the order for majistrate court . then you have to try at high court quashing the order also if you have a ground for quashing most important ground is important to quash. so you can go with high court to file a qushing case at high court.

Dear Sir, The Hon'ble High Court has vast discretionary powers to end the cases in compromise as it is family matter. You may ask your Advocate to submit the same before the Court and it will be referred to the Mediation Centre. Your wife also must give consent for such compromise and thus case may be ended in acquittal if everything goes smoothly. It is advisely to hire services of designated Senior Advocate for this purpose.
