this seems more like a husband and wife issue then any divorce issue, you will be required to attend a couples counselling sessions rather than involving lawyers which will increase the pressure and will lead to divorce rather than solving the issue if you want we can send you husband a legal notice for explaining him the situation and how you need to go to work

For cases like this under the new Indian criminal laws, you can file for maintenance under Section 144 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), which replaces Section 125 of the CrPC. His behavior—specifically obstructing your employment, financial exploitation via the loan, and alcoholism—constitutes mental and economic cruelty, providing strong grounds for divorce and protection under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Domestic Violence Act.

Under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), you can file for maintenance under Section 144 (formerly 125 CrPC). You can also seek relief under the Domestic Violence Act for his financial and physical abuse. His conduct constitutes mental and physical cruelty, providing strong grounds for a divorce petition.
