My husband and I are currently living in different cities .He sent me divorce notice for mutual consent by putting several false allegations .I can't travel to his place ( different city ) due to some family problems for settlement of mutual consent. If your husband has sent you the notice with false allegations then it will not be of mutual divorce but of contested divorce on the grounds of cruelty. You need to go only when you gets the summons from the court and you can always appoint an attorney to appear on your behalf. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Hi. If you are filing for mutual Divorce then the same can be done via a special power of attorney holder who can be either family members, close friend etc living in the city where the mutual Divorce is intended to be filed. kindly contact for further discussion.

Hi..!! Yes you can execute a power of attorney in the name of a person whom you can rely upon and trust upon and that person can sign, take decision on your behalf and in fact appear in court on your behalf.

first of all, it is stated that you can file cases from the place where you presently reside as in Hinda Marriage Act, wife can file case from her place of residence even husband lives somewhere else. Therefore,, if you do not wish to go and visit other state, file case at your own place and presently you must give a reply to the notice sent by your husband.
