Hi! My wife had filed a false case against me of DVA and dowry from her hometown i.e bokaro. Currently I am living in Bengaluru for job. We aren't living together after we had a small fight about going to go home to meet my parent and she ran away to my home on my back. Now a month back she had filed DVA, Dowry civil case for maintenance as well as criminal case against me and my family. What are my legal recourse in this. How can I prove my innocence.

you can just file cancel the dowry case in High court i may not maintainable when she valunterly volunteerly left the matrimonial home and delete your family's members in DVA case and first you and your family take bail in dowry case and file case in High court for quash the fir case

Dear Sir, This shortest method is to get stay against both the cases by approaching Hon'ble High Court of your State. Secondly, you can file Restitution of Conjugal Rights under Section 9 of Hindu Marriage Act or Divorce case in Bengaluru City so that she can come over to Bangalore. Please be informed that Domestic Violence case cannot be filed 12 months after leaving the house of husband. Please check.
