Got fraud by a call girl service agent

02-Jul-2024 (In Divorce Law)
I have booked a escort service with advance booking amount. Later on in the evening they have called me and ask me for registration fee. In total I have sent 73k. Can I file a complaint against them. Does this book any case against me as well for booking the escort service?

Yes, you can file a complaint against them for cheating and fraud, especially if they took your money under false pretenses and did not provide the promised service. Here's how and what to consider:

What You Can Do Legally (Against Them)

You can file a complaint for:

  • Cheating under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

  • Criminal breach of trust under Section 406 IPC.

  • Possibly cyber fraud, if the transactions were done online.

You can report to:

  • Your local police station or file a complaint online at the National Cyber Crime Portal.

  • If you used a bank or UPI, notify your bank immediately and lodge a complaint to try and block further transfers or recover funds.

Booking a escort service is not a crime. however if you are cartoon a prostitute or a call girl in a hotel room for payment she will be treated as a victim and you as an offender. now there maybe a girl existing or none, you have not involved in any act though money is paid. So, you can complain to Police.

Dear Sir, You have chosen illegal services of escort service. You are not supposed to avail such service legally as such you have no legal rights to lodge any complaint. However you may lodge your complaint at your risk as a whistle blower without disclosing your name and then they may come for compromise and thus you may recover your amount.
