What is Section 17 of the GW Act?
(1) When appointing a guardian for a minor or declaring one, the Court, subject to this section, is guided by the best interests of the minor in accordance with the laws to which he/she is subject.
What is Section 25 of the GW Act?
Section 25 comes into effect when a person is removed or removed from a guardians custody. If the court is of the opinion that the welfare of a ward will be improved by returning to the guardians custody, it may order her/his return.

Since your daughter is just 6 years old now, mother will have the custody of the girl child unless you prove that mother is not fit to take care if the child otherwise it is in the mothers to have custody of the minor children specifically girl child.
