You must try obtaining in writing from her, whether email/whatsapp/text message or otherwise, that sexual relation between you and her were consensual in nature. This proof may be used by you before Court, in case she files FIR for rape or other offence against you in future.

Well, in order to defend yourself, you have to prove in court, that, there lies a genuine reason of financial crunch,which you are facing, due to which, you are avoiding marriage. once your problem will get sorted, you will marry her. Hence, court cannot convinct you for Rape in the Civil Case of Breach of Promise,where you have become failed, have been getting failed and shall keep on getting failed to honour your promise to marry, until and unless, you shall become financially stable or well settled to take care of her needs, your needs to start a new family.
