In India to file Mutual divorce petition both the parties have to be present before the Court. The Court will give 6months time for second motion to remain present for both the parties. If both are agreeing on second motion also the divorce will be granted. You should also have your local address of India.

You both can file Petition under section 13 B. You both have to submit that you both are living separate for more then one year. As per law cooling period is of 6 months which can be get waived up as per Supreme courts direction. You both have to annex local Id proofs.
