Filing False 498 a by wife after divorce Petition

I filed divorce petition in Bengaluru after my wife refused to join me even after many request to bring her since 2.5 yrs. She went to her maternal home in Varanasi in Sep 2021 ( 2.5 yrs now . After filing divorce She got a notice to appear in family court in Bengaluru. I learnt that now she is going for 498a. I have not taken a penny from them nor gone for any kind of violence I should I do to prevent this case before she file or if she files. We are Hindu

Any 498A case is filed in police station and posted to a magistrate Court. if you have information of that you can check if she has/ or is going to file a 498A against you in the registers of magistrate Courts.

if she files a false case of 498 A you can either file a quashing petition in high court to quash the FIR and complaint and further you can also apply for anticipatory bail, further if the police find that the complaint is false after investigation the police will file a report about it after investigation.

Dear Sir, It is not dowry case. It is only cruelty case. You have to approach High Court to quash such FIR because if any alleged incidents took place might have been taken place in Bengaluru City and not in Varanasi produce your divorce case details before the High Court and get the FIR quashed.
