File mutual consent divorce without marriage registration

Hi, I have been married for 2.5 years and now seeking mutual consent divorce. We never registered marriage, in this case what is the process to seek divorce and what happens to my Stree Dhan?

There is no need to have registration for seeking Divorce by mutual consent only thing need that you both are residing separately for more than one year and you can claim for him stridhan. Only you need to file marriage invitation card and photos of marriage.

you have to file mutual divorce petition under sec 13 B of Hindu marriage act. for that purpose both parties must be agree regarding stree dhan Or Permanent alimony/maintenance or children's custody issues if any.

hi

the registration of marriage is not condition precedent for divorce. if the marriage is performed under valid customs/ceremonies then is valid and legal

about stridhan
stridhan is a right of the wife. whatever given to her during wedding ceremony deemed to be her property
