EXPARTE DIVORCE GRANTED IN EUROPE

30-Jan-2023 (In Divorce Law)
In How many hearings will the Delhi courts decide to grant me a divorce decree as she is currently settled in UK and does not plan to fight the case from India and she has already been granted divorce on international waters. Will this decision protect me from paying any alimony or child maintenance or her filing for any in the future.

It takes approx. 3vto 6 months to get decide an exparte case. and only if the court is satisfied with the all averments of the petition it can grant Order in petitioner's favour otherwise not. No this divorce decision can not protect you form future filing of case on alimony or childs maintenance. To make strong your case you can mention UK court decision on divorce which she got against you However as per the International treatires UK court's judgement is also honoured in India.
