Can a European Wife who has been granted ex parte divorce in her home country in Cyprus, file for alimony and child maintenance in Delhi and UAE. I am currently working in UAE and currently filed a case in Delhi as the marriage was solemnized and registered in Delhi under the christian marriage act in India. I have filed a case in Delhi against the ex parte decision of divorce and child custody granted to her by the Cyprus courts.
As she is currently back in Cyprus and not on any work Visa in UAE she is trying to harm me and family by asking for a large amount of money even after i am sending small amount's of cash to her for bringing up my daughter. ...Request your view points

you want to know about the exparty divorce .sir if your wife all ready grant exparty divorce from the cyprus court .you olny file against the exparty desission in Cyprus courts. there you are morel bound to care your kides.

yes the course of action can be initiated in the Delhi itself and whereas the matter of child custody can be decided on merit here as well. all you need to do is file the same here in Delhi with the competent litigator as this will be the only opportunity you may have .

as you are saying tht your wife has taken ecparty divorce in cyprus .in this case tht divorce decree is not valid in india. as per direction od supreme court of india.
