1. My sister got married 2 years back. Things went fine for 6 months or so. But since last 1 year she is facing ill treatment from her husband side. He doesnt care for her now and has no respect this relationshi. Didnt even care to take her to a hospital in her health problem. Moreover he has abused her many times in past. But she ignored and tried her best to give him a best possible environment... Now her in laws are demanding for heavy cash amount and trying to throw her out of the house in such a Pandemic situation. She is menally getting harassed from her husband and in laws during this lockdown situation. Also they are demanding that all her streedhan should be to returned to them that they gave during marriage. What remedies does she have in order to prevail justice? We dont have any lawyer so far. Kindly help
hello sir, I have read your query. after going through what you have wrote, there are 2 possibilities to this case. one she can file a domestic violence case along with cruelty against her husband and her in-laws or secondly she can file for divorce. now it's upon you which option you want to opt for. one important point that I would like to mention here in that whatever was been given to a girl by her in-laws during the marriage or post and pre marriage comes under dowry.
