I married my husband after becoming pregnant with his child, following the formal legal process of filing a rape case- FIR 42/2024 u/s 493,376,420 IPC at Ananthapuram - I Tow PS of Ananthapuram(feb24). The case has been closed without informing me, because of it, my joint family inlaws are demanding dowry and sent me to my home(may24). I went to police station refused to take case instead said to me to search a job first for myself and baby. Now my husband is in Bangalore. It's already 1 year.
You have strong remedies in law . Since the case was closed without your knowledge , you have the right to file a revision petition before the Court against the police closure . For the harassment and dowry demand , you can file the case under the Section 498A IPC and domestic violence Act seeking protection and residence along with maintenance for you and your child . you can also approach the e Mahila Police Station or Womens Commission . You have the strong right to claim maintenance under section 125 CrPC and the custody of your child support . The strong legal act will protect your Rights. Be strong. Don't lose your hope.

Since your FIR under Sections 493, 376, 420 IPC has been closed without your knowledge, you have a right to challenge it. Immediately apply for a certified copy of the closure report and file a protest petition before the Magistrate to reopen the case. For the dowry harassment, you can file a fresh FIR under Section 498A IPC & Dowry Prohibition Act against your husband and in-laws.
As your husband has abandoned you and your child, you can also file for maintenance under Sec. 125 CrPC and custody/guardianship for the child. His residence in Bangalore does not prevent legal action; summons will be served there.
Your priority should be to act quickly to secure maintenance and challenge the wrongful closure of the FIR.
