Domestic volience filed by my wife before 2 days of hearing in coirt

police called and said your wife filed case on you for domestic volience need to come to police station for counseling should i go or not as my divorce case is pending in court

hi if you are facing threat of arrest then you could file petition in court seeking protection from arrest and then you could approach court in the matter and could seek relief from the court otherwise you could approach court

one case has no prescience on the other case each case and is entirely different and not interdependent when the police call you should go and attend and find out what are the reasons for the complaint and they will also give you copy of the complaint .you will be able to know what is happening and who all the accsed and in that you stage will be able to also remove certain members of the family who are in the list

Do attend the Counselling. No harm in attending counselling but make sure to go along Advocate to avoid unlawful detention. Bdw if Police called you then its not Domestic Violence case. Contact for further infomation

Yes, you should attend the counseling session at the police station even if the divorce case is pending. Domestic violence complaints under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act are separate proceedings. Non-cooperation may lead to adverse inferences.
