Domestic Abuse for my sister by her husband

We are hindus. My sisters husband tortures her verbally everyday. He tries to spoil her name among our family circle by spreading false information about her so that he can get out of this marriage and get married to a rich girl for more dowry money. Please advise if we can book him under domestic abuse law and stop him from getting married to anyother girl. Appreciate your help.

you cannot stop him from getting married to other girl but you can lodge a complaint before the concerned police station for domestic violence and file a maintenance petition before the concerned court for your sister day to day expences and initiate a domestic violence proceedings .. lodge a police complaint as dowry harassment

File a domestic violence case against that person, 1. it will be better if you ask your sister to call 181 (Women Helpline) and report this issue. They will take care of the rest. 2. file a DVC case(domestic violence case) against that person with a help of a authentic lawyer in your locality to get this process done expeditiously. for anymore clarifications you can contact me

Hello sir Regarding your above facts you can file a domestic violence case against sister husband for torture and mental cruelty. And regarding stoping him to marrry another girl he has to get proper divorce from court Or else the marriage will be viod. And you can file police complaint against him to safeguard your sister.
