Divorce without the consent of the husband and moving to the court

From last 21 yrs I'm married. My husband is not living with me since 9 yrs & he's also not giving any maintenance exps. for me & my 11 yr old son.And has not contacted me since 8 yrs. He's addicted to all kinds of vices and due to which I've decided to separate. He has taken around 2 lakhs from my father (in cash) and has also sold my jewellery around 9 yrs back. 9 yrs back when I came to my father's house he sold off his residential flat and gave nothing to me. From last 8 yrs I'm paying all the expenses of my son. Now I want divorce from him. I don't have enough money to move to the court. If few big members from both the family sit and have an agreement then can I get divorced without moving to the court. How much money can I claim from him? I am not willing to give him my childs custody bcoz he has not taken care (not even called once) of us in these 8 yrs.
