I have tricky question I am govt employee but even if hon.court gave max alimony or maintenance and if I don't give my wife money then if I lost job n I jailed ...imprisonment...how many months I can be max months???...Bcaz chatgpt is saying even after max 6 months ..jail I will still payable maintenance ...but Max to max how many yrs I will be jailed for not paying maintenance....(I am also started studying for LLB n want to study law)

Maintenance has ro paid by you even if you loose and only 6 months imprisonment for domestic viloence snd that is not concerned with the maintenance part unless your wife gets married to some other person

If you lose your job then you may prefer an application before the learned court to either stop or reduce the maintenance amount. If you don't have anything you won't have to give anything. I hope you don't lose your job over this.
