Divorce matter of NRI and Indian

Hi. I'm permanent resident of India and currently living in Bangalore.
My ex-husband is NRI. Currently staying in Dubai, UAE
We got married in India and have marriage cert registered in Bangalore.
We got divorced from Dubai.
Should the divorce decree be attested by Indian Consulate in Dubai ?
Only if you are a muslim the divorce obtained in Dubai is valid. Otherwise If you are Hindu. or Christian the divorce taken in Dubai is not valid in India, in which case you should get a valid divorce in India.
